Description

This is a contract for the emptying and maintenance of the Council's sewage plant serving social housing properties in the borough. The contract has an initial term of three years with an option for the Council to extend to a total of five years in appropriate circumstances. The plant is situated at 10 different locations and comprises 2Nr sewage treatment plants; 2Nr septic tanks; 3Nr pumping stations (with a further site being included from April 2019) and 4Nr Cesspits (3Nr situated at a single location - adjacent properties).

The contract includes the removal of effluent and cleaning and maintenance of the plant in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and good practice, as well as monitoring plant to ensure compliance with granted consents. It also covers 24/7 emergency attendance when necessary.
