Description

The Birstall Parish Council requires the full design and construction of a new single storey Community Hall facility in Hallam Fields Walk Birstall Leicester. The Employer requires that the appointed Principal Contractor takes full responsibility for the design and construction of the facility through to practical completion. The building works are to be completed and the finished building ready for occupation by the Client on the date of practical completion.

The project will be administered under the JCT 2016 Design & Build contract. The new facility is to be fully designed and constructed as detailed in the Employer's Requirements contained within the tender package. The building design, location, external works and architectural form required are illustrated on the schematic proposals provided.

Your submitted tender must include the priced Contract Sum Analysis sheet provided in the Architects Brief and the additional documents requested in sections A20 - Article 4 (specific requirements and A60/110/130 of the preliminaries) . Tenders submitted without these documents will be assessed as being incomplete and will be declined.

The appointed Principal Contractor is also required to enter into an insurance packed Performance Bond with the Employer under clause 7.3.1 of the JCT 2016 Design and Build contract agreement for the sum of 10% of the contract value which will remain in force up to the date for issue of the Notice of Making Good for the Works.
