DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
120 THE WORK:
The works comprise the reconfiguration and refurbishment of a single storey changing pavilion with changing rooms, toilets, kitchen, etc. together with external works and drainage.
1Syston Town Council invite contractors to tender for the refurbishment and extension of a Sports Pavilion located at Memorial Park Necton Street Syston LE7 1HF. Anyone wishing to have an informal visit to the site should contact Jason Green on 0116 2607150.
The main elements of the works required will consist of the following:-
 Make safe and secure a temporary site compound within the park grounds.
 The contractor will take sole possession of the building site for the duration of the works, however the park will remain open throughout.
 The contractor is to take all reasonable precautions to safeguard existing drain runs and services.
 The contractor is to take all reasonable precautions to safeguard exiting users of the park during weekday and weekend activities.
 Complete refurbishment and alteration to the existing building with new extensions to form storage facilities.
 The tendering contractor will be responsible for the delivery of the whole project, including contractor design portions to cover M&E installations.
 The Contract will be executed under a JCT Minor Works Building Contract with contractors design.
 Contractors will be invited to a pre-arranged pre-tender site meeting to allow detailed descriptions of work to be undertaken.
 Please ensure a priced Bill of Quantities is prepared in readiness for immediate issue if requested follow tender return.
 Syston Town Council are not bound to accept the lowest or any tender
 Tenders are to be returned by no later than 12 noon on Monday 8 November 2021 as instructed in the Invitation to Tender Document via the portal.
