Description

Requirement

The London Stadium has an ongoing need for a workforce entrance (WFE) to control the flow of operatives into and out of the operational back-of-house areas of the stadium, both during the normal day-to-day mode and also the significantly increased flows experienced during events.

The current facility comprises a cabin with an adjacent marquee. There is an adjacent temporary WC but no welfare facilities. The current facility also does not easily accommodate the identified requirement for turnstile access control.

The planning authority has an expectation that the new WFE will have an aesthetic that is consistent with that of the immediately adjacent stadium.

Application is by submission of a tender to LS185 by the stated closing date as set out in the attached instructions to tenderers.

NOTE (23 Mar 20)

In light of the ongoing government policy of social distancing, LS185 has decided to postpone the planned site visits for this procurement. We expect to re-arrange these to take place as soon as is practicable, but in any event not before the end of April 2020. The closing date for the submission of bids will be moved back accordingly once the date of the site visits is known, but is being extended to 30 April 20 as an interim measure.
