Description

Introduction
Medway Council and Medway CCG are looking for a provider who can deliver a safe, effective, personalised and fair service to patients and service users with health and social care needs that require a range of Intermediate Care services in order to be supported to remain in their own homes. To date these are a range of separately bedded and non- bedded services commissioned separately by Health and Social Care. They will now be a joint service provided as part of the Medway Better Care arrangements and the funding is part of a pooled budget between the Council and the Medway CCG. The service will be provided in accordance with the statutory responsibilities of the Council and CCG and will be managed as part of the sections 75 partnership agreement between the Council and CCG.

Purpose of this Notice
On the 26th November a free to attend open invitation market engagement event will be held at St Georges Centre, Chatham, the aim of this is to provide opportunity for suppliers in the market to engage in and provide pre-tender input to the forthcoming tender for Intermediate Care Services

The Commissioners are looking to get early engagement with providers and the market in general. In particular the Commissioners would like to discuss our plans with the market to understand capacity and the ability of providers to deliver the service.

Invitation from the Assistant Director of Partnership Commissioning

We would be grateful if you would join staff from Medway Council and NHS Medway Clinical Commissioning Group in order to provide you with further information on a market opportunity to develop Intermediate Care and Reablement services in Medway. We would also like to hear from you on how we can develop these services with you before we produce the tender. I attach an agenda and a draft Memorandum of Information.

We look forward to seeing you and working with you to develop sustainable and improved services to support people at home.

Yours sincerely,

Helen Jones
Assistant Director Partnership Commissioning
