Description

Rutland County Council (RCC) on behalf of RCC and Melton Borough Council are seeking to procure the services of a reputable, experienced, reliable and skilled arboricultural services provider to provide planned and reactive arboricultural services/tree maintenance services across each of these local authorities for an initial period of 5 years with the option to extend for up to a maximum of 5 further years subject to performance. The bulk of the services, about 90% by value, will be provided to RCC.

The appointed services provider will also be available to provide services to town councils and also to parish councils within the County of Rutland and Borough of Melton as required.

The appointed services provider must have sufficient capacity, capability, experience and resources - equipment, plant and suitably qualified and experienced operatives - to fulfil the Councils' requirements.

These include the capacity to respond to emergency 'call-outs' 24/7 throughout the year within a maximum of 2 hours, that is, 2 hours from initial contact to arriving on site.

Interested parties must satisfy the minimum requirements stated in the tender documents. These include specific resources, including workforce, plant and equipment and qualifications in respect of the types of skills or services that are required to fulfil the specified requirements.

All the Tender documents accompany this Notice - including a Response document that must be completed and returned by noon Friday 26th May 2017.

Questions regarding the tender process and the requirements of the contract will be accepted up to noon Friday 19th May 2017, that is, a week before the deadline for bids. Where the response to such questions is considered of relevance to all potential bidders, the response will be circulated to all interested parties who have registered their interest with the contact person for this tender.

Therefore it is important that all interested parties register their interest as soon as possible and by no later than noon Friday 12th May 2017 with Stuart Kidd, RCC skidd@rutland.gov.uk
