Description

STORE TOWN COUNCIL OWNED FESTIVE STOCK, SUPPLY, ERECT AND DISMANTLE BURGESS HILL TOWN CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Burgess Hill Town Council owns 1 x across the road festive lighting frame, 9 x festive lamp column frames and 6 sets of festive tree lights. In addition to providing storage of this equipment the Town Council is seeking to appoint a supplier for the rental of a Town Centre Christmas Lighting display for a period of five years. Burgess Hill has a compact town centre and the Council is looking for a high impact display with an ability to change the rented frames annually.

Contractor should be HERS (Highway Electrical Registration Scheme) accredited or able to come up with a suitable arrangement with a HERS accredited partner. The Town Council operates within strict parameters set by West Sussex County Council Highway Authority and their contractor SSE Contracting Ltd and would expect tenderers to show their awareness of these requirements and their ability to comply.

The contract will be for a five year term to commence in 2020 and cover the festive periods of 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. The successful contractor will need to take in to consideration that due to possible town centre redevelopment some changes could be made to the current arrangement but notification will be given with good notice. While the specification in the tender is our current requirement the ability to provide additional festive illuminations is important, the cost of which will be negotiated at the time.
