Description
Each year, Lambeth Council commissions an annual Residents' Survey, which:
• provides a reliable source of data on the views and experiences of Lambeth residents, drawing on a representative sample
• monitors the organisation's progress to achieving its strategic objectives, as set out in the Borough Plan and other key strategic documents
• supports trend analysis for a number of important issues (e.g. ratings of the council, feelings of safety, community cohesion)
• allows for sub-group analysis (e.g. by neighbourhood areas, by demographic characteristics)
Scope of Services:
The London Borough of Lambeth's Strategy and Communications division now wishes to contract a provider to undertake three quarterly surveys and an annual residents' survey in 2022.
The survey will include some of the same questions as in previous years. However, we will also want to update the question set to reflect new strategic context, including the refreshed Borough Plan, the Economic Resilience Strategy, the Climate Change Action Plan, Lambeth Made Safer Strategy and Child Friendly Lambeth agenda.
The successful service provider will provide the following:
• An independent, reliable and statistically robust measure of corporate performance
• Monitor organisational progress to achieving its strategic vision, as set out in the refreshed borough plan and accompanying strategic documents
• Monitor important trends in perception of the council as well as establishing baseline information by which we will measure delivery against some of the new objectives of the council;
• Enable us to compare views of sub-sections of the population;
• Provide the facility for colleagues and partners to add questions to the survey, as a cost-effective means of gathering perceptions data relevant to their own activity.
• This year, we are also interested in establishing an online Residents' Panel which can be consulted to quickly answer follow up question that emerge as a result of the surveys carried out. We would like the commissioned agency to tell us how they would go about setting this up, how they would ensure the online panel is representative, how they would ensure residents are engaged with this channel and to demonstrate examples of data they have previously collected through this methodology.
