Description

The MCA wishes to commission a study into the risks presented by, and to, shipping within the UK EEZ and to assess the availability and adequacy of any emergency towage arrangements in the UK. Based on the level of risk and the local commercial availability of emergency towage, the study will be designed to research the current and future risks to, and from, shipping, and make recommendations as to whether the UK requires emergency towing services at strategic locations around the UK coastline.
