Description

A single stage D & B Contractor is being sought through a restricted OJEU procurement process to undertake detail design and construction of the new Matthewsgreen Primary School and Community Facility in Wokingham Borough. Full planning permission for the proposed scheme has already been obtained in February 2018.
The proposed development will include -
• A new Primary School with Classrooms for 1FE and a core for 2FE.
• A separate Nursery Facility.
• A separate Community Facility.
• A new car park with spaces for the different users and School drop off zone.
• Hard tarmac games area for the School.
• Nursery outdoor play area.
• Playing field with two football pitches.
• Secure fencing to the boundary of the site.
The D & B Contractor will be required to develop the detail design in consultation with the relevant stakeholders and construct the completed facilities, including relevant external works, by 01/07/2020. The Operators for the new premises have yet to be appointed.
Possession of site by the appointed Contractor is expected to be 1st October 2018.
The facility must be completed and ready for occupation by 1st July 2020.

This opportunity is for a new build Primary School and Community Facility located in a new housing development site for Wokingham Borough Council. In the Bovis site, on the right off Twyford Road, opposite Bell Foundry Lane.
The facility must be ready for occupation by 1st July 2020.
The contract includes a 12 month defects period, resulting in a contract end date of 30th June 2021.
