Description

A six month contract to utilise social science methods for assessing whether and how changes in attitudes and in behaviours had occurred during the hen harrier brood management trial. The approach should address how the availability of brood management could have affected an observed increase in hen harrier populations, for example if the attitudes and/or behaviours towards nests, adult birds, or tagged birds had changed, or if something else had driven the observations. The project should investigate the role of a range of factors including brood management, law enforcement, tagging and monitoring, and the availability of other management techniques including diversionary feeding.
