Description

PLEASE NOTE: THE CLOSING DATE FOR THIS NOTICE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 20/11/23.

PLEASE NOTE: There have been some issues opening the references listed in Annex 3 of the RFQ. These have now been added to the 'attachments' section.

Baseline monitoring of Dartmoor ESA moorland vegetation was established in 1994. Resurveys were carried out in 1997, 2003 and 2010. Additional plots/transects were added in 1997 and 2003 resulting in a total of 77 sites. The purpose of this project is to resurvey the radiating heather grazing transects from the 50 sample points originally surveyed in 1994. The resurvey will in general follow the method developed for ESA moorland heather grazing monitoring established on Dartmoor in 1994. It involves the collection of data on a range of variables related to grazing impacts and dwarf shrub height cover.
