Description

London Violence Reduction Unit: Youth Practitioners' Leadership Programme Tender Opportunity.

The Mayor of London's Violence Reduction Unit is seeking a partnership with the relevant experience to design and deliver a suitable leadership programme for youth practitioners.

The VRU values the critical work of the youth sector and youth sector professionals and this Tender sets out the Unit's plans to develop a training and professional development programme for frontline youth sector professionals in London, with a particular focus on those working within communities affected by violence.
The aim is to develop a leadership programme which supports and encourages talented youth professionals to develop their career paths and to support the next generation of youth sector leaders which London desperately needs.
VRU intents to offer a one-year contract at a value of £550,000 to deliver the service, with an option to extend the contract for further 12 months with total contract value of £1.1m.

London's Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) has a focus on early intervention. Through adopting a contextual approach to violence reduction, the Unit has in place a range of programmes which are aimed to reduce risks faced by young Londoners; support them in staying safe and providing opportunities for young people to fulfil their potential.
