Description

The MCA wishes to purchase two Diesel Engine Power Packs.

The Power Packs will be used, in the event of a marine oil spill, by the MCA's contracted oil spill responders to drive large oil recovery and containment equipment such as large skimmers and recovery pumps, sometimes simultaneously, and boom reels.

The Power Packs must be have a capacity of at least 50kw, hydraulic flow from 0-160 litres per minute and a max hydraulic pressure of 210 BAR.

The Power Packs must feature dual control valves, flow control valves and the following connections:

I. 1 x ¾ connection inch ISO fittings
II. 2 x ½ connection ISO fittings
III. 1 x 3/8 connection ISO fittings

The power packs must be suitable for use in potentially hazardous environments, with appropriate safeguards available/included, and suitable for use in marine environments, adverse weather and a range of temperatures, i.e. on the deck of a ship or on a dockside, and must be appropriately enclosed to protect from the elements.

It would be our preference that the power packs feature an integrated air blower capacity (for the inflation of oil containment booms) with a capacity of 12psi 1 bar and an air flow 27m3/h.

For ease of storage we would prefer the complete systems to be housed as a single package on a skid with forklift pockets and lifting slings.

The Tenderer shall fully recommend how the proposed equipment is to be stored, including suitable environmental conditions.
