Description
This notice provides updates to providers on West Sussex County Council's Care and Support at Home recommission planned for 2020.
UPDATE 17th MARCH 2020
Please note today's bidder briefing has been cancelled. Please keep an eye on the tender portal for updates.
UPDATE 13th FEBRUARY 2020
Dear Service Provider,
The Older People's Commissioning Team would like to invite you to a meeting to provide an update on the re-commissioning of care and support at home (also known as domiciliary care or home care).
The venue is Billingshurst Centre, Roman Way, Billingshurst RH14 9EW. The date is Wednesday 26th February from 10-12 with refreshments from 9.30am. Please confirm attendance by emailing the Adults Commissioning box adultscommissioning@westsussex.gov.uk by 21st February.
This follows on from engagement events that were held in May and August last year, and the surveys on the new proposals and cost models. Thank you, again, to those who came to the events and/or completed the surveys to give their views. This information has informed the proposals and a decision to commence the procurement for the provision of care and support at home has now been taken by the Cabinet Member for Adults and Health.
This meeting will provide an opportunity to hear a summary of the feedback received, how this along with other stakeholder feedback, research and analysis has informed the plans for the recommissioning, the next steps for the process and an opportunity to ask questions prior the procurement.
All providers currently providing care to council-funded customers, through either the 2015 Care and Support at Home Framework Agreement or the legacy 2009 Domiciliary Care Framework Agreement, and wanting to continue beyond December 2020 to work with the Council will be required to complete the same procurement process as any new providers. Please come along to find out more and understand what this means for you.
We look forward to seeing you there.
