Description

This Early Engagement Notice is issued by Transport for London (TfL) on behalf of The Greater London Authority (GLA) and seeks to obtain market feedback in relation to the upcoming procurement of GLA Air Filter Consultancy requirement. It will also assist TfL and GLA in assessing the best procurement route and finalising the tender documents.

We will be holding a Supplier briefing of the upcoming opportunity for all interested suppliers at 11.30am on Wednesday, 3rd July 2024 virtually via Ms Teams.

Aim

The project will deliver indoor air quality filters in all classrooms across approximately 200 public primary schools in London (or in as many classrooms and schools as practicable), as part of Mayors £2.7m of funding committed to deliver a School Filter Project.

The project will also involve an engagement element (including assemblies or classroom activities), filter maintenance, and monitoring (including provision of indoor air quality monitors), evaluation and reporting including end of year reports and a final report.

Provisional key deliverables:
• Provision and installation of circa 3,000 filter units to approximately 200 primary schools in London
• Two years of filter replacements and other maintenance including site visits as required to ensure the filters are operating effectively
• Creation and promotion of guidance for schools on how to optimise the use of filters
• Regular engagement with key stakeholders including schools and borough officers
• Provision and installation of at least 400 indoor air quality monitors (at least 2 per school)
• One end of year and one end of project report presenting and analysing data from monitors and other data including feedback from schools
• Ongoing support service for schools to respond to queries and requests from schools
• Plan and deliver an awareness raising element with engaged schools around air quality and encourage wider behaviour change to improve indoor and outdoor air quality, and reduce exposure to poor air quality.

Delivery

The provider will be responsible for delivering and project managing the project to oversight from and regular reporting to GLA officers to secure the deliverables set out about.

The provider may sub-contract and manage the project in a consortium arrangement to deliver the different elements of the project including the awareness raising and monitoring and evaluation elements.

Contract start date (provisional): November 2024 for 2 years with a possibility of extension
