Description

Whilst the internal Legal Servcies team advises the University on the full range of legal issues faced by the University, there is a requirement for timely external legal support services to complement the department's expertise and capacity.
The following are within scope of this procurement:
• Ad-hoc legal support on matters as they arise (including contracts and disputes);
• Proactive legal support (including notification and education on changes to the law which will affect UoD);
• Compliance with Legal Services' procedures (which include approval and execution of contracts procedures) and UoD's invoice settlement processes (including request of purchase orders in advance of starting work and inclusion of detailed narrative on all invoices);
• Knowledge, training and skills transfer as required;
• Account management, including attendance at review meetings and provision of management information; and
• Future development opportunities to allow the University to take advantage of any developments in this area of work which may assist in improving operational performance. Any associated costs must be included in Form T6 Pricing Schedule.
This contract will also be utilised by all of the University of Derby subsidiaries and affiliates, should they opt to use the agreement. This includes Derby Theatre and Derby Student Residences Limited.
