Description

London Borough of Ealing is procuring a contract for an Independent Travel Training and Adult Buddy Service, that will offer children and adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) a safe way of travelling independently, that will build their self-esteem, confidence and support young people with their transition into adulthood. Positive and measurable outcomes for children and adults in relation to travel training are very important to the Council, and to families and carers. The Council is keen to ensure that the service represents efficiency, value for money, and delivers cost effective outcomes for children and adults. The provider will work with children and adults to support them using all forms of public transport and where appropriate walking routes to/from school, colleges, work or training placements, and leisure activities. Efficiency and positive, measurable outcomes for children and adults in relation to travel training are very important to the local authority, and to families and carers.
