Description

London Borough of Ealing has awarded a contract for an Independent Travel Training and Adult Buddy Service, that will offer children and young adults with special educational needs and disabilities a safe way of travelling independently, that will build their self-esteem, confidence and support young people with their transition into adulthood.
Efficiency, positive measurable outcomes, and meeting set targets for travel training of children and adults are very important to the local authority, and to families and carers. The new provider will work with children and adults to support them using all forms of public transport and where appropriate walking routes to/from school, colleges, work or training placements, and leisure activities.
