Description
The Council is seeking an experienced supplier who can deliver a flexible and innovative Travel Training Service that will offer children and young people a safe way of travelling independently, that will build their self-esteem, confidence and support young people with their transition into adulthood. The supplier will work with children and young people to support them using all forms of public transport and where appropriate walking routes to/from school. As this is a new commissioned service with the Council, this service will initially focus on secondary school pupils, however it is envisaged that this service will be further developed to include primary school children to prepare them for the transition to secondary school.
