Description
Following our Annual ROSPA report we require a contractor to complete some work in our park spaces.
Leighton-Linslade Town Council wishes to appoint a Specialist Play Surfaces Contractor to refurbish/replace the play surfaces at eight of our play areas.
Some sites require a full replacement and others just an overlay as recommended by the report from ROSPA. Further details of the locations are found in the attached documentation.
The works will be split into two parts with the first four parks to be completed within this financial year (i.e. before 31st March 2026) and the second set of four parks to be completed next financial year (i.e. beginning 1st April 2026).
Please complete the attached pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) along with a detailed quotation for the works required (as described below) The Town Council will then shortlist providers following these submissions.
The successful providers may then be invited to present to Council Members in late January with the award being made in early Feb for work to commence in March 2026. The presentation will be a max 15 min PowerPoint Presentation and then 15 min Q&A.
The deadline for your PQQ and formal quotation is 9.00am on Monday 5th January 2026.
Requirements for the Play Surface Refurbishments:
• To address the issues raised during the recent RoSPA report.
• To provide a warranty for the works.
• To increase the longevity of these much-needed play areas in our town and help to reduce their carbon and ecological footprint.
