Description

This is a consultation exercise only.

Derby City Council wishes to undertake a consultation exercise with suitably qualified and experienced organisations, local people and interested stakeholders in advance of a formal tendering process in respect of the service provision of Preventative and Universal Services for Carers. The results will be used to inform how the new service will be specified and inform the procurement process.
Derby City Council wishes to appoint one lead Service Provider to provide and deliver this service. The Service Provider is to deliver five key Services

1. Information, advice and guidance for Carers
2. Carers training
3. Wellbeing activities for Carers
4. Support and peer support for Carers
5. Carers clinics in conjunction with GP services

In delivering these services the Service Provider will be required to undertake the following aspects of Carers Services:
• Identification and engagement of Carers
• Information, advice and guidance for all Carers
• A City centre presence so that Carers can access support, advice, and information
• Access to venues across the City to deliver training, wellbeing activities and peer support
• Timely and appropriate training to help informal Carers to continue with their caring role
• Carers wellbeing activities
• Work with and support to smaller, specialised and locally based Carers groups
• Contribute towards the provision of content to the Carers website.
• Provision of opportunities for Peer support amongst Carers
• Promote the needs of Carers across partnerships
• Attend Talking Points and promote the services available for Carers
• Link into activities designed at promoting an asset based community resilience approach to working with communities
