Description
Christmas Markets Operator 2020 - Concession Contract
Since 2016 Liverpool Markets in conjunction with Liverpool City Council have delivered a Christmas Market for the city on the prestigious site of St Georges Plateau.
The 2020 Christmas Market will again take place on SGH Plateau but is planned to also include St Johns Gardens and potentially William Brown Street (pending consultation with stakeholders).
In 2020, Liverpool City Council is seeking a 3rd party to deliver the Christmas Market and associated animation in its totality by providing a 'License to Occupy' SGH Plateau & St Johns Gardens.
The successful operator will be responsible from the start for the set-up of the Christmas Market, its operation, and the full take down, and decant of the market on its completion, including provision of all infrastructure and services at their own cost i.e. Event management, management of traders and operatives, security, safety, road closures, waste management, water, cleansing and daily operational delivery.
The market, whilst being festive, must be in line with the location and the importance of St George's Hall and William Brown Street within the city footprint, and therefore be of an appropriate standard and quality, to build on and exceed expectations. The entertainment must be a mixture of free, interactive, and vintage activity and rides, adding to the festive feel of the event.
The Christmas Market will open from Thursday 19th November 2020 and operate till Thursday 23rd December 2020 on St George's Plateau and William Brown Street.
