Description
In the Future of Mobility: Urban Strategy, DfT committed to exploring the impact and opportunities for innovation in rural areas, with the expectation that this will deliver a Future of Mobility: Rural Strategy in due course.
We have recently begun scoping out initial thinking for our approach and objectives for the strategy.
Undertake a review of international best practice drawing on international network of new/future mobility experts across Europe, the US and Asia-Pacific, to understand the impact of different polices and interventions, ensuring relevance to the UK context.
The international review of best practice will identify case studies of international best practice of relevance to the UK's rural communities. The analysis and insights drawn from the research will provide a strong evidence base for the Department to use in developing the Future of Mobility: Rural Strategy. We expect the review of international best practice to review locations across the UK, Europe, the US and Asia-Pacific.
