Description

Gentoo has a number of offices and depots within the boundaries of Sunderland, Houghton, Hetton and Washington - Tyne and Wear.

The Group is currently undertaking a large accommodation review of those offices and depots which requires various parts of the business to move their operations into a more fit-for-purpose premises.

As part of this, Gentoo Group's Concierge service, which operates its out-of-hours services and are currently based at Gentoo Group's Leechmere Depot, will be moving to a new location within the Akeler House building, situated in Doxford Park, Sunderland.

The site is located within the ground floor area of Akeler House, Doxford International Business Park, Sunderland, SR3 3XR.

This building is owned by Gentoo and forms one half of its head offices, the other being Emperor House, which is located directly adjacent to Akeler House.

The building spans 3 separate storeys, the ground floor serves as a housing office space which is used by both Gentoo staff and members of the public, the first floor is currently leased by Northern Gas Networks and will be occupied with their staff and the second floor serves as office space for Gentoo Groups Property Team.

Subsequently, the building will be in occupation throughout the works and Providers will be required to be mindful of this and look to ensure minimal disruption to anyone who occupies or visits the building.

The works will be undertaken within a void section, located on the ground floor of the building - access and egress is to be arranged with the Provider, but it is envisaged that access to the proposed works area will be through an occupied working space - therefore, all necessary protection to floor coverings and walls may need to be made. Any damage caused within the building will be made good by the Provider at no cost to the Client.

The scope of the works to be completed includes, but may not be limited to, the following:
(a) Physical/Construction Works;
(b) Furniture Fit Out;
(c) Services/Electrical Works.

It is the intention of Gentoo to appoint one Provider to deliver all works.
