Description

The National Museum of the Royal Navy wish to commission a contract for the repairs of gilded carvings on the transom of HMS Warrior in Portsmouth. The carvings have been removed during a period of restoration on the ship's transom. The carvings have been surveyed and required treatment, repair and gilding before they are reinstated.
