Description

The works include the refurbishment, upgrading and repair of No. 3 The Green, for Horsforth Town Council. The works include internal rearrangements to create to large meeting rooms, smaller offices, kitchen and WC facilities and improved accessibility, such as a platform lift and compliant ramp. Works of repair and upgrading are also proposed to the exterior fabric.

Tenderers should include for all works shown on the drawings and described in the specification. Any works described in the specification but not shown on the drawings, or vice versa, must be included within the tender.

Horsforth Town Council may prefer to appoint local contractors.

The contract start date and end date is to be confirmed.

Tenders are required to be returned on the Form of Tender and Summary Sheet with a full priced specification.
It is a strict tender requirement that in addition to the Tender Form and Summary, the Schedule of Works must be returned with the Tender priced up on an item by item basis. Without this the tender will be deemed to be invalid. This information is required to allow us to properly assess the tenders submitted and to report them to the Employer's representatives.

Your tender should include for every aspect of the works, as set out in the specification and/or on the drawings. Any specific exclusions should be identified in a covering letter, accompanying your tender, with reasons for exclusion, otherwise it will be taken that all works have been included for, as specified, and claims for additional costs arising from failure to price any elements of work included in the tender documents, will not be accepted. Please take particular note of the need for tenders to include at this stage, the full cost of items such as suitably sized radiators, calculated to the spaces.

Should you have any queries regarding the scope of the tender required for the proposed Works or feel there is any information missing that will otherwise prevent you from submitting a bona-fide tender, do not hesitate to contact us. All inquiries in connection with the works including specification queries and specific questions about the proposals should be directed to Tom Crooks at info@rcparchitects.net or 0113 2818080. Please do not contact Tom Crooks to request arranging a visit.

Please contact the Town Clerk regarding all correspondence, including visits and confirmation of tendering.

We encourage all tenderers to make a site visit as early as possible to allow them to fully ascertain the scope of the works, the site restrictions and the project specific details. Visits can be arranged by contacting the Town Clerk with a selection of suitable dates.
