Description

Expressions of interest are sought to deliver a twice-yearly omnibus survey of school teachers and senior leaders for the Department for Education over 4 waves (summer 2019 to winter 2020). The survey gathers views from a nationally (England) representative sample of school teachers and senior leaders working in state-funded primary and secondary schools. We require that the current random sampling methodology is maintained to enable valid comparisons with previous responses. The questions asked in each phase of data collection will vary according to the Department's research interests. These will include a mix of new questions and previously asked questions being repeated to enable time-series analysis. As outputs for each wave, we require: anonymised dataset of responses, presentation and report in DfE format for publication. We would like to introduce the option of providing qualitative follow-up work. However, any optional work would need to be scoped following each wave, and funding approved by the Department's Research Board before work could commence.
