Description
Expressions of interest are sought to deliver waves 6 and 7 of an established survey; Pupils and their Parents/Carers (PPC) Omnibus Survey. This would be 2 waves of fieldwork, occurring in summer 2019 and summer 2020.
The PPC gathers views from a nationally (England) representative sample of pupils aged 11-18 and their parent/carers. The survey provides an opportunity to gather opinions and experiences from pupils and their parents on current DfE policies and school practices. Whilst previously two waves have been conducted per year, this will now change to one wave per year
We require that the current stratified probability sampling methodology is maintained to enable valid comparisons with previous responses. The questions asked in each phase of data collection will vary according to the Department's research interests and priorities. These will include a mix of new questions and previously asked questions being repeated to enable comparison over time. As outputs for each wave, we require: anonymised dataset of responses, presentation and report in DfE format for publication. We would like to introduce the option of providing qualitative follow-up work. However, any optional work would need to be scoped following each wave, and funding approved by the Department's Research Board before work could commence.
Please note: Deadline for EOI's is 11:59pm on Friday 8th February 2019
