Description

WWF understands the need for change, we are on the brink of extinction and we need to build a diverse and unstoppable demand for the restoration and nature and halt of climate change. Society is at the heart of the movement, and youth should be the drivers. We understand the ability and passion that young people have for demanding their rights for a sustainable future. We want to support them to demand this at the highest of levels.

The Youth for Our Planet project aims to develop an empowered network of active youth advocates to tell their stories and influence decision makers.

WWF UK is seeking a suitably experienced and well connected consultancy provider to coordinate and support the delivery of a global youth advocate network. The project will provide an online platform to tell the stories of a youth movement for nature, it will be the coordinator's job to work with youth to develop this platform. The coordinator will develop and deliver leadership training for young people which will strengthen their connection to and understanding of nature, and empower them to advocate for nature within their communities and in global decision making arenas, such as the CBD (Convention on Biological Diversity). This network will work with WWF's global campaign on creating a new deal for nature.
