Description

Keynvor MorLift Ltd (KML) seeks to appoint a suitable contractor to design, supply and install M&E solutions for the refurbishment of the Fish Factory building at their wharf in Falmouth.

The Falmouth Wharves Marine Hub project, which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, will create flexible workspace as well as improved marine facilities, creating a unique asset for the South West. It includes the refurbishment and fit-out of four existing commercial buildings on site to BREEAM Very Good standard. The first of these buildings to be refurbished is the Fish Factory.

The Fish Factory was built in the late 1930s as a warehouse and is a two storey building with a total floor area of approximately 915m². The vision for the building is to upgrade/update all internal and external aspects whilst keeping the original look and feel of the building.

The purpose of this contract is, in the first instance, to work closely with KML, their architects, BREEAM consultants and main contractor to design and specify a M&E solution for the building which will ensure that the relevant BREEAM credits are achieved.

As this is the first building at the wharf to be refurbished, it will also be necessary for the successful M&E company to review and specify any upgrades or improvements which are required to the existing infrastructure on site ahead of the Fish Factory fit out.

Once a specification is defined, the M&E contractor will supply and install all the specified equipment at the Fish Factory building. This will include the management and review of all works including the production of operation and maintenance manuals and the commissioning and handover of all the services.
