Description

National Museums Liverpool will be bringing a high profile exhibition of the Terracotta Warriors to Liverpool from February to October 2018. High level advocacy has been undertaken through official visits of Her Majesty's Ambassador to China (October 2016), and the Secretary of State for Culture Media and Sport (December 2016). Visit Britain will help support and promote the exhibition as one of the main cultural events in the UK in 2018.

The timing of the exhibition is perfect in terms of UK-China / China-UK relations and is regarded as being an expression of the recently declared "Golden Time" of cooperation between the two nations.
A fundraising commission is required to enable NML to maximise the potential of this high profile exhibition. The supplier will be expected to develop a portfolio of major and principal gifts prospects and be responsible for their identification, introduction, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. The aim is to achieve fundraising of in excess of £1m.

Key requirements include strategic vision, an ability to develop and implement strategic plans, an ability to identify and work with professional and academic colleagues in the cultivation of prospects and in the solicitation of major gifts, a talent for maintaining donor interest in NML, excellent social skills and cultural understanding, and outstanding oral and written communication skills.
