Description

Stoke-on-Trent City Council seeks to appoint a visitor economy/event specialist with experience and contacts to be able to identify key event promoters to develop and build entertainment programming and new events in Stoke-on-Trent.

This work is funded through the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The UKSPF funded programme Visit Stoke-on-Trent: A City of Imagination, supports Stoke-on-Trent's Visitor Economy Strategy 2022 - 2027 which aims to transform the City into one of the region's most important cultural tourism destinations within the next 5 years. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government's Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
