Description
Each year all the winners of the King's Awards for Enterprise are presented with a trophy. In recent times this has been a lead crystal glass bowl, engraved with the King's Awards Emblem and Award title and winning year.
The King's Awards Office is responsible for ordering the quantity of trophies required each year and instructing the supplier on the delivery addresses. The current contact has ended and therefore the King's Awards Office has a requirement for the provision of trophies for Award Winners in 2024, and the following 2 years.
The supplier will be responsible for the design, manufacture, quality control and delivery of the Awards and preferably be based in the UK. They must be able to deliver all trophies by the required date of 31 May each year, subject to agreed timescales once the contract has been awarded.
It estimated that 300 trophies per year are required, though this will fluctuate each year and can be less than 300. The number of trophies required will be confirmed by the King's Awards Office in March each year.
The trophies should be distinctive and designed to reflect the new modernised King's Awards, while retaining the prestige of achieving an award of this stature. The dimensions of the proposed trophy design should not exceed 22cm in width, 25cm height and 1740 grams.
The trophy should be made from sustainable materials. Although there is not a need for the trophy to be made entirely of crystal, where possible, we would welcome designs which encompass the tradition of a crystal element in some way.
