Description

Border Force (BF) is a Directorate of the Home Office. BF operate a fleet of six (6) Coastal Patrol Vessels (CPV), all CPVs are equipped and certified to Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA) MGN 280 Workboat Code of Practice, (HSVC) Category 2, for service in waters up to 60 nautical miles from a safe-haven.

The purpose of this notice is to make the Statement of Requirements available and to invite potential suppliers to confirm they can fully meet the requirements by providing a fully itemised written quotation for the work package.

This work package is required to be undertaken between Holyhead and the Firth of Clyde.

The full package of works required is detailed in the attached Statement of Requirements (C21069 - CPV Active - SoR - MSER - vf1).

The Supplier must be able to adhere to the following timeline;
-accept, lift and berth the Vessel on, or before, the 03 June 2021;
-start defect rectification and modification work immediately;
-start certification work not before the 14 June 2021; and
-ensure all work, either stated in this requirement or Emergent, is completed to the satisfaction of the Border force Overseeing Officer (BFOO) and all signed certificates are passed to the BFOO no later than 25 June 21.

Guidance to Bidders.

In order for bids to be considered complaint, the following must be completed in full;
-SoR, Annexes A-D must contain costing per line-item;
-SoR, Annexes A-D must contain a total per Annex;
-Bidders are required to submit formal written quotations in .pdf file type in addition to the completed Annex A-D of the SoR; and
Confirm acceptance of Authority Terms and Conditions (C21069 - CPV Active MSER - T&Cs).

Potential suppliers are invited to send complaint bids to Ian McDermott, Home office Commercial at Ian.Mcdermott@homeoffice.gov.uk no later than 12:00hrs, Friday 14 May, 2021.
