Description
Violent Patient Scheme Service for Leicester City CCG (LC CCG), East Leicestershire & Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group (ELR CCG) and West Leicestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (WL CCG)
Arden & GEM CSU is conducting this procurement exercise on behalf of the three Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Clinical Commissioning Groups, to seek suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver the Violent Patient Scheme Service.
The Violent Patient Scheme was introduced as a Directed Enhanced Service (DES) by the Department of Health (DH) following on from the cross-government Zero Tolerance campaign introduced in 2000, to tackle violence in the NHS. The guidance which provides the framework on the withholding of NHS treatment from violent and abusive patients was issued by the DH in 2000: 'Tackling violence towards GPs and their staff (HSC 2000/01), and in 2001: Withholding treatment from violent and abuse patients in NHS trusts (HSC2001/18)'.
The objectives of this project are to commission an LLR wide solution for the provision of GP services for service users that have been removed from general medical practices lists within the LLR CCG areas.
It is the intention of the Commissioners to enter into a 3 year contract with a possible extension of 2 years.
This service will be commissioned via a procurement process, advertised to all which is proportionate to the value and complexity of the service and contract. The ITT will be live on the 12th of July 2016 on the Arden GEM CSU e-tendering procurement portal (Bravo). All submissions will be evaluated using the scoring criteria which is contained within the ITT Instructions - Document 1. Clarifications may be asked during the procurement process, the deadline for ITT clarification questions is 5pm on 22nd July 2016.
All correspondence relating to this procurement throughout all stages of the process must be managed through the Arden & GEM CSU eTendering Procurement Portal Bravo only.
