Description

The Ivers Parish Council is in the process of seeking quotes for the provision of a one/two new vehicles for the Grounds Maintenance Team.

We are keen to hear from companies who could provide us with either one or two new vehicles and we have prepared the following outline specification.

Vehicle replacement

1.0 Introduction

The Ivers Parish Council is keen to provide new vehicles for use by the Grounds Team in order that the Council can deliver its commitment to providing community-based services and good quality green and open spaces.

The current vehicles have served the council well however both are old and are not 'cleaner' diesels

We also do not have the resources to purchase two new vehicles outright and this specification is designed to assist companies to quote for what we need within the context of what the Council can afford.

2.0 What we would like our vans to be:
• Of short wheel base Ford Transit style with three seats and able to tow a trailer and mower with a combined weight of 600kg
• Each to be fitted with a towbar suitable for towing the trailer and mower
• Each fitted with amber lights and chevrons in accordance with 'Safety at Street Works and Roads Works Code of Practice'
• Each internally clad with suitable wooden boards
• Euro 6 diesels

3.0 How we wish to pay
The Council does not wish to enter lease agreements for these vans.

We wish to take advantage of the 0% APR arrangements currently being offered and we expect to pay an initial sum, a monthly sum for a set number of years, and a final sum after the set number of years ends

4.0 Trade Ins
The Council is not intending to offer trade ins of its existing vehicles however details can be provided on request to interested companies
