Description
Aim: To measure footfall in our three town centres of Tiverton, Cullompton and Crediton in Devon.
To measure (in short periods e.g. 1 hr as well as overall findings for a few months / year - compare data to previous years):
• Footfall - the number of visitors to the town centre - assessing the town trends, allowing us to assess the impact of individual events e.g. hour by hour comparisons, day & months.
• Dwell time - assess the average amount of time spent within the town centre.
• Visitors: a breakdown of where visitors travel from (local v visitor)
• Frequency of visit: how often do visitors return on average
• Hot spots in a town centre to establish where people gather and assess the actual town centre points e.g. Westexe, Fore Street, Gold Street and the Pannier Market would show interesting stats in Tiverton.
Process - we will require a planning session to mark out the area we wish to be included for each town and training to access the data. We would require access to a dashboard which would allow us to read the data as and when required. However, regular reports assessing the data would also be welcome.
Data - the data will need to be GDPR compliant and have a high confidence rate with an explanation regarding how it is gathered.
Contract - initially this will be a 1 year contract however, this could be extended if we find the data / process useful.
