Description

Provide a safe and practicable working environment. Provide a suitable means of waste removal from the site; and ensure all waste is correctly disposed of.

Spike courts with 30mm holes at approximately 450mm centres and backfill with pea-shingle. Chase a 150mm channel around present edging kerbs and feather new surface down to old kerb edge should new edging kerbs not be required. To supply and lay a bitumen emulsion tack coat. Hand lay and screed along 40mm steel bars 6mm open textured Supersport Tennis tarmacadam wear course to a minimum compacted depth of 30mm laid in accordance with SAPCA, The Lawn Tennis Association and BS4987. Thoroughly roll and cross roll with suitable power roller until an even close knit surface occurs. Apply 2 directional coats of the highest quality Tennis anti slip Acrylic Court Paint. Colours TBC. Mark out and paint 2 sets of tennis lines and with quartz sand slip-resistant acrylic line paint. To replace 2no sets of existing posts and sockets with new nylon coated posts with all brass winding mechanism, complete with heavy duty sockets and nets.

Supply and install 67 linear metres of Sports System, or equivalent, comprising of 80x40 RHS. Galvanised Powder Coated intermediate and corner posts (over length 3.75m) at 2.52 centres at 3m high and 34 linear metres of Sports System comprising of 80x40 RHS. Galvanised Powder Coated intermediate and corner posts (overall length 3.75m) at 2.52 centres at 3.6m high. All rigid panels are coated with double lift panel 200mm x 50mm x double 5mm horizontal single 6mm vertical wires. Inclusive of threaded inserts, 40x5mm clamp bar secured with anti-tamper M8 bolts all galvanised and coated standard RAL 6005 Green colour. To supply and install 1 gate 1.2m x 2m high with lintel infill above. Existing single gate to be reused and moved to double gate site.

To include the removal of old fencing and double gate from site.
The site will be protected from damage by the contractor.

Any damage caused by the contractor or its subcontractors must be repaired and returned to its original state.

An area will be allocated for the contractor to keep a waste container, welfare unit and equipment. Parking is available on site free of charge.
