Description
The London Borough of Bromley ("the Council") is seeking bids for a 15 year full repairing and insuring lease of the concert platform in Crystal Palace Park.
This is not a procurement process run under the Public Contract Regulations 2015 or the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016. This is marketing exercise to secure a tenant who will operate from the premises and invest in the Property to bring a neglected park asset into commercial and community use. In assessing the bids the Council will be complying with its duty under section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972 not to dispose of land for 'a consideration less than the best that can be reasonably obtained.'
The open day which was due to be held on Friday 25th January is now not going ahead due to lack of interest. The estimated value is based on a a broad estimate of the turnover the new operator could potentially achieve after taking off the estimate repair and fit out costs.
Please note any queries regarding this lease should be directed through the message section of the London Tenders portal www.londontenders.org
