Description
Chard Town Council is seeking competitive tenders for the supply and installation of two arrays of PV solar panels (16+12) and battery storage for those panels and the existing panels in place. The intention being to both reduce carbon footprint of the building and reduce energy costs.
The property, the Guildhall, on which the solar panels are to be installed is Grade II* listed and located in Fore Street, Chard TA20 1PP. Planning permission and listed building consent have been granted by Somerset Council under application number: 23/01509/FUL and 23/01510/LBC. A condition of the planning consent is that external surfaces of the development shall be of materials as indicated in the planning application form and approved documents:
- Suntech PV Solar Panel STP400S C54 Data Sheet, and
- Suntech PV Panel Mounting Data Sheet.
No other materials can be used without the prior written consent of the local planning authority.
