** UPDATE TO ORIGINAL NOTICE - INFORMATION IN THE ATTACHMENT TO THIS NOTICE - Update to Prior Information Notice - Future EMTC **
The Authority wishes to engage industry in preliminary discussions to understand both the
market capabilities and interest in delivering a future potential 3 to 4 year requirement
concerning the design, scheduling, delivery, assurance and support for Phase 2 and Phase 3
training at the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT) predominantly based at MOD
Lyneham. In issuing this Prior Information Notice (PIN), the MOD is not committing to carry
out any procurement in relation to the strategy stated in this PIN. Any related future
procurement activity will be subject to the DSPCR 2011 and advertised accordingly through
the relevant channels. The MoD invites eligible organisations with an interest in this market
engagement to attend a virtual Market Information Exchange event on 11th December 2023
where MOD representatives will provide further briefing on the requirements and one-on-one
sessions with organisations to further understand their ability to deliver the capability.

address, telephone number & company you are representing to air-comrcl-emtc@mod.gov.uk
with the subject 'Market Information Exchange event'. This PIN is not a means to seek
formal expressions of interest; that opportunity may become available in the future through
the publication of a formal contract notice published on the Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP).
Suppliers interested in working with the Ministry of Defence should register on the MOD
Supplier Information Database (SID) Register, available at www.contracts.mod.uk. This is a
database of active and potential suppliers available to all MOD and UK Defence procurement
personnel, and is the main supplier database of MOD Procurement organisations. NB - the
registration and publication of a company profile on the MOD SID does not mean or imply
that the supplier has in any way been vetted or approved by MOD. Suppliers wishing to
compete for advertised MOD contracts must respond to any specific call for competition by
submitting a separate expression of interest in accordance with the instructions of the
purchasing organisation. You must not take this Prior Information Notice to mean
confirmation that the Authority shall award a contract for this requirement. The Authority is
publishing this announcement without any commitment to issue a tender or place a contract.
