Description

WHITWELL CEMETERY CAR PARK - BACKGROUND
Whitwell Parish Council entered into a 99 year lease with a local farmer in 2007 to use a piece of land on High Street Whitwell S80 4RE (adjacent to Westfields), as a car park for the use of cemetery visitors.

The parish council seeks a contractor to clear and resurface the car park and car park entrance, install drop kerb access to the car park and install a verge crossing over the road with dropped kerb access.

Planning Application No. 06/00185/FUL (can be viewed on Bolsover District Council planning portal. Contact Tim Ball 01246 242234 for further information on planning matters. Planning permission was granted on 15.3.06, however the project was started within the 3 year planning period with some site clearance, work on diverting the path and a height restriction barrier has also been installed.
