Description
The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority and Peak District National Park Authority are drafting an active travel network based on the Department of Transport's Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure plan for Local Authorities. The draft network will include connections across both National Park, at a local level, and adjoining communities, connections with gateway towns on the periphery of each of the National Parks, family friendly cycling routes, routes to and around key visitor hubs, routes connecting with public transport provision and long-distance leisure routes. The plan will identify infrastructure improvements and investment priorities for the future.
This contract relates to providing an economic business case based on the existing network, and the added value of proposed extensions to that network.
