Description
South Cambridgeshire District Council (hereinafter referred to as "SCDC") wishes to commission, on behalf of the Northstowe Healthy New Town partnership research into the housing, support and care needs of older people, in the context of current policy and practice, locally and nationally.
The Northstowe Healthy New Town partnership comprises the following organisations
• SCDC
• Cambridgeshire County Council
• Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group
• Cambridge University Hospital Trust
• Cambridge Institute for Public Health
• The Homes and Communities Agency
The Study will provide an evidence base to assist SCDC to determine an appropriate level of provision of accommodation for older people to be sought through policies at a local level and within development identified in the emergent Local Plans relating to Greater Cambridge, with particular reference to Northstowe and the larger new communities.
The Councils are seeking completion of this research and modelling as soon as possible and ideally no later the end of September 2017.
