Description

SHINFIELD PARISH COMMUNITY CENTRE

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Shinfield Parish Council is seeking suitably qualified Construction Companies to undertake the expansion of the existing Parish Centre in School Green, Shinfield. The Council has secured funding for the scheme and Planning consent is expected in August 2019.
The works comprise the demolition of the existing British Legion building and the adjacent site and the construction of a new building together with refurbishment and additions to the existing Parish Centre and associated external works and drainage. The estimated Construction Cost is £2.2million

It is proposed to tender the works to a selected group under a traditional procurement with a BQ and supporting specifications and drawings. the proposed form of Contract will be the JCT Intermediate Form 2016 with CDP elements.

The project is targeted as BREEAM Excellent

The approximate timescales are as follows:

Initial Expression of Interest deadline 30th August 2019

Selection of tenderers 6th September 2019

Tender documents despatched 27th September 2019

Tender Returns 25th October 2019

Tender evaluation finishes Including post tender interviews 4th November 2019

Contract Award 8th November 2019

Estimated start on site for demolition & enabling works 25th November 2019

Estimated completion Mid December 2020
