NHS Dorset CCG Integrated Urgent Care Access and Advice Service Market Engagement Event

Published date

Closing date

Description

NHS Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group is inviting qualified providers to express an interest to participate in supporting the design of the service model for an integrated urgent care access and advice service.
NHS Dorset currently commission an GP Out of Hours (OOH) service and a NHS 111 service. The core vision for the project is a service that builds upon the success of NHS 111 in simplifying access for patients and increasing the confidence that the public have in their services.
The offer for the public will be a single entry point - NHS 111 - to a fully integrated urgent care system which delivers high quality services, provides clinical assessment when necessary, provides advice and treatment and has clear accountability and leadership.
Central to this will be the development of a 'Clinical Hub' offering patients who require it access to a wide range of clinicians, both experienced generalists and specialists. It will also offer advice to health professionals in the community so that no decision needs to be taken in isolation. The clinicians in the hub will be supported by the availability of clinical records such as 'Special Notes', the Summary Care Record (SCR) as well as the Dorset Care Record. In time, increasing IT system interoperability will support cross-referral and the direct booking of appointments into other services.
The event will be held on Thursday 28th September in the Main Hall at the Dorford Centre, Bridport Road, Dorchester, Dorset. DT1 1RR commencing with refreshments from 8.45 am until 9.15am.

The event will commence with a presentation followed by an opportunity for providers to book time slots for a discussion with the commissioners on the specification including the service model. The time slots will be allocated to providers upon request. This will be based on a first come first served basis until all slots are booked.
If you are interested in attending this event or are unable to attend but would like information sent to you please express your interest by completing the attached form and emailing it to bisprocurement@dorsetccg.nhs.uk no later than Thursday 21st September 2017.

Participants should note that the CCG reserves the right to use any information shared within this market engagement event to develop a mature service specification for future procurement purposes. Any costs incurred by participating in this exercise must be born by the participating organisations.

Following this exercise the CCG shall determine how it will approach the market to secure the services. Please note that any future procurement will be subject to a separate advertisement and participation in this market engagement event will not automatically entitle any organisation's involvement in this procurement.
