Description

The contract is for the construction of a new workshop facility for the Royal Shakespeare Company CostumeDepartment, the selected tenderer will be responsible for all new build/ refurbishment works and all associatedworks. Principally the project involves:
- Demolition of the later editions/less significant components of the existing Costume Workshop buildingensemble
- Retention of the main historic components: notably the Scene Dock and the Stock Room/Stable building andresidential outhouses
- Design and build of circa 1748m2 of workshop and ancillary accommodation over three floors
- Design and build of new hard and soft landscaping features
- Remodelling of the existing Chapel Lane main entrance both externally and internally
