Description

Simultaneous Interpreting (SI) is a major strength of the Newcastle T&I programme. Maintaining market-leading provision in this area is crucial to the continued success of the T&I programme. SI is technologically dependent, and it is important that our students have access to industry-standard interpreting equipment. Our current SI Training Lab was built in 2010 and industry standard has moved on with new software and hardware systems becoming the norm. The University wishes to procure a new system which will ensure that our program maintains the highest standards.
