Contract Period: Up to 50 days support with an immediate start over 3 months

Overview of service:
An experienced and exceptional individual is required to support Stoke-on-Trent City Council in embedding culture within public health and contributing to delivering a successful bid for the 2021 UK City of Culture.

In scope
The successful individual will contribute to embedding culture within our public health function and contribute towards the bidding process underway to bring the third UK City of Culture award to the City of Stoke-on-Trent in 2021. Following the award further support may be required to implement the bid. This opportunity has arisen to cover a period of maternity leave.

Key tasks:
• Identifying relevant cultural policy which include links to public health, including food and sport
• Bring forward evidence and data to support the UK City of Culture bidding process
• Performance data analysis
• Develop new resources to be include within the Stoke-on-Trent Joint Strategic Needs Assessment
• Contribute to the Director of Public Health's Annual Report

Knowledge, understanding and application
The successful individual must be able to demonstrate:
• A range of Public Health skills and experience gained over a minimum of five years
• Knowledge and interest in cultural activities
• Excellent report writing skills
• Proven ability in supporting bids
